Model Drawings

To assist manufacturers who need to illustrate quotations to customers we provide below a series of 3-D drawings of popular pallet designs that can be downloaded in MS/Word format (example of a stillage is shown). It is sometimes difficult for a customer to picture what is being quoted for and a drawing can avoid confusion. For example the term 'bearer-pallet' is often called a 'stringer pallet'.

Stillage

If you use MS/Word in your company correspondence the downloads below also enable you to quickly change drawing size.

To download a drawing just log-in with your password, select your pallet type from the list below, when the image appears, mouse over the drawing, right click Format Object, click Size and in the Width box enter your new size in centimetres, then click OK.

The illustration shown right, of a stillage, is an example of how understanding of a subject can be greatly helped by an illustration. A stillage is not a pallet because it cannot be lifted by a pedestrian truck (it is too high), it cannot be stacked safely because of a lack of  bottom deck (needs minimum 35%) and it is not an ISO authorised plan size, so it will not make the best use of shipping space in a freight container.

If you need foreign language translation the best guide we have found for identifying individual parts of a pallet is the 12 language document (including Japanese and Korean) published by Dr George Stern of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VPI) in the USA.
